September is a busy month in Hamilton! Kids are going back to school, which means an influx of young adults heading to McMaster, Mohawk and other colleges. We often get to accommodate (slightly tearful) parents who are here to settle their kids in for the semester.
But Hamilton is a great place for your teens to find their feet. We have spent the summer sending our own teens out on adventures, sampling some local independent restaurants, treats, and sights. They have found their explorations to be tasty, welcoming and fascinating to explore.
September is also the month with two of our favourite events: Comic Con and Supercrawl!
Supercrawl
As we have blogged about before, there is a monthly Art Crawl on James Street North, just a few minutes away from the hostel. In September, this arts festival takes on a massive scale, with public art exhibits, vendors, food and drink. There are several stages and amazing music, fashion and literary performances are on show – all for free.
We have been supporters of Art Crawl – and of Supercrawl – from the very beginning. It’s always a highlight of our year, and we frequently host artists as well as patrons. Comic Con
